Occupational Health and Safety

In South Africa, Occupational Health and Safety is governed by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, which is intended to provide protection for employees with regard to the safety of machinery and equipment, health hazards in the environment and protection from other people in the work place. Our Occupational Health and Safety course ensures that students are fully cognisant of the Act and are able to assess risks and devise safety programmes that fall well within the ambit of the law. After completing our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) course, students are able to conduct safety audit inspections, identify hazards and risks, and further Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) awareness in the work place. OHS modules are designed to challenge students but still allow them to achieve outcomes at their own pace.
